“Searching” For Ways to Save Wildlife

by Sandy Dean

You probably search the internet every day.  Do you use Google or Yahoo or AOL?  These search engines are owned by corporations that rake in billions of dollars every year from internet advertising.  It’s a huge money-making business, and highly profitable….for them.

A Better Use for the Money

Wouldn’t it be nice if some of these dollars could be funneled to charities and non-profit organizations?  That’s precisely what Ken and JJ Ramberg had in mind when they founded “Good Search”, an internet search engine that passes a portion of the advertising dollars to a charity of your choice.

“It’s a simple way for our supporters to donate money to the DFW Wildlife Coalition, and it doesn’t cost them a cent!” says Prudi Martin-Koeninger, president of the organization.

Still skeptical about a “new” search engine?  You needn’t be.  Good Search is actually powered by Yahoo! behind the scenes, so you can expect the same good search results.  There’s really no “catch” to this.  Read  what CNN Money had to say about Good Search.

How You Can Help

You can help the DFW Wildlife Coalition raise funds for wildlife by using Good Search and by selecting us as your charity of choice.  To get started, click on the Good Search icon below.  Once you are there, bookmark the page for easy access in the future. There are also instructions for downloading and installing the Good Search toolbar. Remember to use it!

Every time you use Good Search to search the internet, you are donating money that will help save wildlife every day!
